Run PWA on Startup
With Edge on desktop, you can set a PWA to launch automatically when your computer starts.
Demo
- Open the Edge browser on your Mac or PC.
- Click the button below to install the app.
- Click on Install in the popup to complete the installation.
- Select → App settings in the installed PWA.
- At the bottom of the page, enable the Auto-start on device login option.
Compatibility
This demo shows how to launch the Progressier PWA automatically at startup, but you can use the same approach with any PWA that can be installed in Microsoft Edge. Keep in mind that only Edge on macOS and Windows currently supports running PWAs on startup. Chrome does not offer this feature, and it is not available on iOS or Android.
